How I Solved Today’s Puzzle
I tackled the NYT Connections puzzle in what I like to call the ‘reverse rainbow’ order. It was a challenge! The yellow group, about places to find paper money, really stumped me. I quickly thought of ATM, CASH REGISTER, TIP JAR, and WALLET. But I also had PURSE and BANK on my mind.
I was torn between two ideas:
- Places you can keep money, which would include BANK.
- Places where you can get money, which might include BANK and PURSE.
After two wrong guesses in the yellow group, I moved on to the other colors. Eventually, I solved the purple, blue, and green groups. In the end, I got the yellow one last, maybe because my thinking was a bit backward today.
