During her college years, she completed several internships that helped her build experience. One of her internships was with the Chicken Salad Chicks restaurant chain, and another with the Bulloch County Georgia Board of Education. She even interned with the U.S. Army Cadet Command in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, where she faced a tear gas chamber to better understand cadet training.

Hobbs noticed that her career started to take off when she learned to speak up in meetings. “I’ve been learning to trust my own voice,” she explains. She believes that leadership is not just about age or job titles; it’s about making an impact.

A few years ago, Anna and her husband, Aaron Hobbs, moved to Chattanooga and started a family. They have an 18-month-old daughter and enjoy the community. “We have a lot of family here,” she says. “We love the area and all the outdoor things to do. It’s a great place to raise a family.”

Before her role at the Chattanooga Airport, Hobbs worked for about two and a half years at CHI Memorial Hospital in the marketing and communications office. In that job, she handled social media and media interviews. When the airport position opened up, she was excited to take full control of the social media accounts. “At Memorial, I was assisting a lot. Here, the social media is my baby,” she says.

She has participated in litter cleanup events for a local organization called GreenSteps and has started volunteering at the Chattanooga Food Bank.
